As you might have guessed from our book reviews, we like to read. And there’s no better time than during a hot, hazy summer. Not that these won’t do by a cozy fire or during a spring rainshower (so long as you’re inside). After all, books are pretty all-purpose companions. Whatever the season, when you feel the itch to hit the bookstore or local library, maybe you’ll take our suggestions.
Don’t see your favorite? Leave us a comment and let us know what you’ve been reading–just be sure to include author and title information, in case we just have to have it. One of the perks of working for the world’s leading open source company is the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the industry’s best and brightest. And since we’re big on sharing here at the Magazine, we strive to bring as many of these conversations to our readers as possible.
As long-time readers of the Magazine know, we’re big fans of science fiction writer and copyfighter Cory Doctorow. He was kind enough to dial in for an interview last year, and followed that with a rousing keynote speech at the Red Hat Summit.
This week’s office meme (pulled from digg, of course) has been the fifteen geek movies to see before you die. How do we stack up? Collectively, we’ve seen 14 out of 15. Pretty good for a tech magazine. In fact, one person (that would be me, thanks) has seen 14 of the lot herself, with the 15th (Brazil, in case you were wondering) already sitting in her Netflix queue. At #24.
Noticed a flurry of activity over here at Red Hat Magazine? If you’re subscribed to our RSS feed, you’ve noticed something this past month–new articles almost every week. And now we’re ready to go one step further–new articles just about every day.
