New Year’s Resolution #1: Read more.

by Bascha Harris

Noticed a flurry of activity over here at Red Hat Magazine? If you’re subscribed to our RSS feed, you’ve noticed something this past month–new articles almost every week. And now we’re ready to go one step further–new articles just about every day.

We’ve been getting such a kick out of Red Hat Magazine’s blog setup that we just couldn’t wait. Tasks that used to take a couple hours (and possibly a pair of web developers) now take just a few minutes. And like good open source stewards, we find the freedom exhilarating.

So far this year, we’ve managed to make good on our New Years’ resolution to read more books. Jon Benedict’s review of Live Linux CDs: Building & Customizing Bootables will help those who dream of easier ways to demo Linux.

And for our Fedora fans, we’ve got the second installation of Max Spevack’s new Fedora column. Get the scoop on Fedora activity—and the upcoming FUDCon in Boston—straight from the Project Leader. (Also, he’s got even more chatter about Live CDs.)

Be sure you don’t miss this month’s most popular piece so far: a technical article on Disk encryption in Fedora. And once you’re done with Mike Petullo’s article, be sure to check out the discussion going on in the comments. We think you’ll like being able to chat directly with the authors of many articles.

If you’re a big fan of our Tips and Tricks, it’s been a good month for you. If you’re not getting our feed, be sure to revisit one of January’s posts to see the updated tip.

So, how’s this working for you? Leave us a comment if you’ve got an opinion you’d like to share.

Just to say that i really appreciate the tips you post over here.
Even though i’m not using all this hints, i think it’s a nice way to enhance my little knowledge of fedora operating system (in addition to the official forum).
